A veteran handler with the field vision, edge control, and throwing touch to prove it, Baecher brings 15 years of experience to Rising’s offense. Originally from Amherst, Mass, Baecher was named to U-19 Women’s Team USA before representing elite clubs Boston Brute Squad, Denver Molly Brown, and Boston Slow White. An alum of the University of Vermont, Bae practices physical therapy when off the field.
“I work at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Being able to go into work everyday has allowed me to rise. Due to the pandemic, patients aren’t allowed to have visitors, making these uncertain times that much more scary. I am grateful to care for patients isolated in the hospital and hopefully provide them with comfort and support.
Outside of work I am rising by adventuring with my dog (Ollie), supporting local farms and starting my own garden! I have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather by taking Ollie on long runs and exploring new trails.
I am grateful to be able to buy the majority of my produce from local farms and support small businesses. I also have the pleasure of being related to two spectacular farmers who own East of Eden Flower Farm. Their flowers have brought joy to many people over the years and even more so now!"
