Hailing from Caribou, ME, Kelley is an alum of UMaine Farmington and coaches the Forest City girls’ HS team. She has represented clubs including Sunken Circus (ME) and Wildcard (MA). Off the field, Kelley teaches middle school health and physical fitness while getting a graduate degree in nutrition.
“I am RISING through being inspired each and every day by my students’ ambition to help those in need. I’ve had so many of them offer to make hand-made masks in an attempt to protect their community and the ones they love. When I’ve inquired how they might do this it almost always boils down to using duck tape, old t-shirts, and shoelaces.
"Middle schoolers are exceptionally clever, and resourceful human beings! Listening to their determination, to do whatever it would take to provide protection, inspired me to rise to the occasion and start making hand sewn face masks for hospitals, families, and those in need."
