"I am rising during this time firstly by practicing social distancing to help keep my community safe. Additionally, I recognize that my racial, financial, and social privilege all contribute not only to my current COVID lifestyle, but my life outside of COVID as well.
"I am striving to become more intentional and engaged in my education on racial and gender equity. Some ways I am doing this include: taking a class with Both/And, pushing equity conversations within my communities, and making monthly donations to the NAACP.
"I am also taking advantage of this time to do things that I usually rarely make time for, including sleeping, cooking, learning to skateboard, and making ice cream!"
