At 5’9”, Canning uses her length and tenacity to stifle handlers in the backfield and attack the deep space, where she's a serious threat in the air.
Canning was Ultiworld’s 2018 Runner-Up Breakout Player of the Year for Brute Squad in the club division before helping them win gold in 2019. A Northeastern grad originally from Farmington, CT, she’s also represented Boston clubs Siege and Vice.
“I rise by moving my body every day! It could be as simple as five minute abs or a two minute solo dance party. Or it could be getting outside for a walk or hike or throwing! My goal is to move my body daily in ways that help maintain my physical and mental health.
“Lately, I’ve been rising by mountain biking. I love the challenge of learning something new and being able to see my progress when I can ride a section I had to walk the day before.
“Off the field, I work for Big Sister Association of Greater Boston as the Manager of Volunteer Engagement. My main responsibility is to recruit women to become Big Sister mentors in our programs to our Little Sisters. Our mission is to ignite girls' passion and power to succeed.
“We rise by recruiting women to serve as mentors and support the healthy development of the girls of Greater Boston and continuing to make new matches. Everyone could use a mentor right now!”
