A 5’6” hybrid player from D.C., Baranes is an outstanding defender who brings equal parts grit and joy to the game. As an elite on-field communicator, Baranes can anchor her team behind the disc or attack downfield spaces as a cutter.
Equally powerful on the sideline, she was just named an assistant coach for the 2021 U-24 @usaultimate Mixed National Team! Her coaching resume includes the Harvard Quasara Ultimate Team, UMass Amherst mixed, and Amherst girls' varsity Ultimate teams.
A Dartmouth alum, Hannah is also completing her PhD in Geosciences.
“I coach the Amherst High School varsity team, and we practiced together virtually all spring. Connection, routine, exercise, and laughter feel more important now than ever, so we would come together each day to work out, talk about our goals, watch games, or play games.
