"I grew up at the center of a small Maine town (read: across from the church, next to the one store, no stoplight to speak of). One wonderful part of traveling from Boston for Rising's early season practices was the opportunity to spend weekends with my family in the house I grew up in. The current situation has meant that the season -- and those visits -- are on hold for now, but my family has found new ways to stay in touch. I've also had more time to play guitar, and this song (...even though it's about the wrong state) always makes me think of the country roads near my home!"
